First Aid at Sea Course

RYA Day Skipper

The Day Skipper Course is being run over 6 Saturdays (or Sundays) with a maximum of 10 students. It is a comprehensive introduction to chartwork, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship.

The course is aimed at those with little or no previous experience. Accompanying the course is a comprehensive pack supplied by the RYA which consists of:

The course covers - ropework, anchorwork, safety, rule of the road, chartwork, navigation, tides, weather, planning journeys and much more!

December 07 Cost of the course is £105.00 plus aproximately £28.00 (for the RYA Course Pack). You will also need to provide navigation drawing instruments

Diesel Engine Course

Mechanical failure is the main cause of lifeboat call out to yachts and motorcruisers. Basic maintenance and engine care may make sure you are not a statistic.

This one day course:

The course lasts 6 hours and covers - the 4 stroke cycle, the fuel system, the cooling system, the air system, engine electrical systems, fault finding and the importance of winterisation and servicing

First Aid at Sea Course

This course is MCA and HSE approved. It is a one day course designed to provide a working knowledge of First Aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yacht and motor vessels. It fulfills the requirements for skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven
