I own and operate Ventura Sailing and run all the courses on offer

My experience is that I am a qualified teacher and have worked since the early 1970's in Outdoor education. First as a Canoeist, then as a Climber/mountaineeer and as a sailor. I ran a a Marine Studies/ Sailing/Powerboat Centre of a Local Education Authority for 13 years dealing with children and adults

My sailing has been in dinghies both racing and cruising, 32 foot open ex-naval cutters in Hongkong taking out 10 students at a time, cruising small yachts from 17 foot up around the much of the West Coast of Britain, to Ireland and the Isle of Man.

I have run Ventura Sailing since the early 1990's initally sailing out of Fleetwood in Lancashire sailing the Irish Sea and Morecambe bay running RYA practical courses. The cruising on these courses took us to Wales, Ireland, Isle of Man, Southern Scotland and the West Coast of England. Plus delivery and tuition on much larger yachts with or for owners.

I moved to Scotland in 1999 bringing Ventura and now am firmly established on the West Coast operating out of Gairloch on the West Coast of the North West Highlands while living and working on a Croft
